Cuba Rushford Central School, won their first game of the season against Bolivar, by a far 106-6. The crowds cheer, and the rebels will begin with their winning streak.

Boys JV basketball, coached by Jake Duvall, is a big deal here at Cuba Rushford Central School. It takes a lot of effort, practice, and training to be very good at basketball. Andrew Tufino, Andrew Clement, Nik Freeman, and Ben Frank will know that for a fact, since they are being picked to play on the court the most. There are 13 total boys on the team. Max Kincaid, Deandre Ahrens, Jacob Crandall, Ben Frank, Curtis Shaffer, Sean Mcnell, Daniel Emerson, Andrew Clement, Nik Freeman, Andrew Tufino, Grady McCumiskey , Alex Tylor, and Julius Kwiatkowski.

During practice, the boys will practice their shooting and dribbling, scrimmaging, and playing an actual game. They know it takes lots of time and even years of practice until you are even classified as “good.” The team often can go to far places, just to play and compete. They could go as far as a few hours just to play. And in the end, it could be worth it. As far as having a goal for the season, they all agreed saying, “The whole team want to keep the winning streak going, and we want to go undefeated for the rest of the season.”, said Max Kincaid, who is one of the players on the team.

Rebels with their winning streak, will continue on the rest of the season. Some many win, and some may lose, but in the end the sport will create friendships and acquaintances!
